US 10-yr Treasury yield fails near 50-DMA
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The 10-year treasury yield in the US declined after having failed to test the 50-DMA located near 2.26% levels.
The yield currently trades 1.6 basis points lower at 2.241%, compared to the US closing of 2.26%. The weakness witnessed today may be a technical correction after a sharp rise witnessed today, since no major economic data id due of the US or Europe today. Moreover, the 10-yr yield gained almost 10 basis points yesterday after the commerce department in the US confirmed the third quarter annualized GDP at 5%.
US 10-yr Technical Levels
The yield has an immediate resistance at 2.26%(50-DMA), above which gains could be extended to 2.271%. Meanwhile, support is seen at 2.234% and 2.15%.
