DAX muted amid calm session

FXStreet (Mumbai) - Germany’s benchmark index, the DAX opened on a flat note today, subsequently swung between gains and losses, finally stabilizing with mild gains amid thin volumes with traders digesting a stronger euro and high bond yields against the backdrop of ongoing uncertainty over Greece.

Currently, the DAX 30 trades flat at 11357.80 levels, having posted day’s high at 11395 and day’s low at 11216.30. The DAX gave back gains and trades modestly flat largely on a stronger euro which keeps a lid on exports stocks, eventually weighing on the index.
Moreover, high bond yields and persistent worries over Greece continues to dampen investors’ sentiments.

The index is seen trading with a positive market breadth, the advance-decline ratio being 25:5. Merck KGaA is the top gainer up 1.32% followed by Henkel AG up 1.05%. While Deutsche Boerse AG is the top loser so far, down -4.37% on the day. While BMW AG slides -2.48%.

DAX Technical Levels

The index has an immediate resistance at 11550. Meanwhile, support is seen at 11200 levels and 11k levels.
