BOJ increases purchases of bonds maturing in 5-10 years

The news is crossing the wires via Reuters that-

  • BOJ increases the purchase of JGBs with 5-10 years to maturity to JPY 450 billion from previous JPY 410 billion. 
  • Offers to buy 10-year JGBs at a yield of 0.110 percent. 

The Yen is responding negatively to the increase in bond purchases.
