NZD/USD has stuck at the opening level of 0.8565

NZD/USD bulls are desperate to bring kiwi higher

NZD/USD bulls gained some ground on Monday as the pair closed 20 pips higher at 0.8565. As we do not have anything of interest on the New Zealand macro economic calendar until late on Wednesday (when final 4Q GDP is published), the kiwi is influenced by general risk trends and technical factors. NZD bulls aim at 0.8600, but they need to clear out 0.8580 first, which is not going to be easy once the market volatility spikes again. Today during European session follow the general sentiments towards US dollar as they will shape NZD/USD’s fate. The bespoke resistance is still at 0.8600, while the nearest support comes at 0.8524 (monday’s low).

What are today’s key NZD/USD levels?

Today's central pivot point can be found at 0.8558, with support below at 0.8531, 0.8498 and 0.8471, with resistance above at 0.8591, 0.8618 and 0.8651. Hourly Moving Averages are mostly bullish, with the 200SMA at 0.8497 and the daily 20EMA at 0.8431. Hourly RSI is neutral at 72.
