Additional headlines crossed the wires from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde, as she addressed the Q&A session following her speech in Hong Kong.

We must be sensible about talk of trade war.          

Should support trade dialogue and not "let it snowball".

Need to encourage dialogue to reconcile views.

Impact of threats is minimal on both sides (China and US).
