China’s Vice Premier Liu He will very unlikely go to the US this week – Global Times

Following the tweet from the US Journalist Lawrence that the Chinese Vice Premier Liu He has cancelled his trip to Washington, the Editor-in-chief of Chinese and English editions of the Global Times, Hu Xijin, tweeted:

“Since @realDonaldTrump has made this kind of threat, I think Vice Premier Liu He will very unlikely go to the US this week. Let Trump raise tariffs. Let's see when trade talks can resume.”

This comes after the US President Trump threatened on Sunday to lift tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 25%, which re-ignited US-China trade worries.
