China launches anti-subsidy probe on US polyphenylene ether imports

China’s Commerce Ministry announced on Friday, it launched an anti-subsidy investigation into imports from the US of polyphenylene ether.

Earlier this month, Beijing started an anti-dumping probe into the US polyphenylene ether imports.

This comes just a day ahead of the US and China’s first of their biannual "Trade Framework Group" meetings.

US Trade Representative Lighthizer and Chinese Vice President Liu He are likely to meet this Saturday to discuss the implementation of the phase one trade deal among other issues.
